The Sting family: MX3 → MX4 → MX5
The Sting is Talaria’s core line, and the MX numbers are simply generations:
- MX3 — the original Sting (TL3000). Superseded, but the name still floats around second-hand listings.
- MX4 — the Sting R (TL4000). An all-new air-cooled platform with 8 kW peak, up to 55 mph off-road and a 66 kg chassis. This is what people mean by “Talaria MX4” or “Sting R MX4.”
- MX5 — the Sting Pro (TL5500). The newest, strongest Sting: a 72 V system, 13 kW peak and up to 60 mph. Sold as “MX5”, “MX5 Pro” or “Sting Pro.”

The X3 family: also called 3X, XXX and Triple X
