Are Talaria electric dirt bikes road legal in the UK?
It depends on the model. Our MX / off-road models (e.g. Komodo, Sting R, X3 MX Pro) are NOT road legal — they are for use on private land and closed circuits only. Our road-legal models are EEC type-approved as L1e or L3e; once registered, taxed and insured, and ridden with the correct licence/CBT, they can be used on UK roads. Every model page states its class clearly.
What licence do I need to ride a road-legal Talaria?
L1e models (moped class, restricted to 28 mph) require a minimum of a CBT plus a provisional licence, from age 16. L3e models (motorcycle class) require the appropriate motorcycle licence category. MX models need no licence as they are private-land only. If in doubt, contact us before buying.
Do I buy direct from Talaria UK?
Yes. Talaria UK (Llexeter Ltd) sells direct to consumers with UK-wide delivery — there is no dealer middleman for online orders. Trade buyers can apply for a wholesale account on our Trade & Wholesale page.
How do I pay? Do you accept Bitcoin?
You can pay by UK bank transfer or in Bitcoin. Choose your method at checkout: for bank transfer we email our account details once your order is placed; for Bitcoin we show a wallet address and QR at checkout. First-time customers paying with Bitcoin get 10% off their first order.
How long is delivery and how much does it cost?
We deliver UK-wide. Bikes are dispatched once funds clear and typically arrive within a few working days; parts orders are dispatched quickly from UK stock. Delivery costs and timeframes are confirmed at checkout and on our Delivery & Returns page.
What warranty comes with a Talaria?
New bikes are covered by a manufacturer-backed limited warranty against material and manufacturing defects under normal use, with genuine-parts support from our UK team. Full terms, exclusions and how to claim are on our Delivery & Returns page.
Can I return a bike or part if I change my mind?
Yes — consumer orders are covered by UK distance-selling rights. Unused items in original condition can be returned within the stated window for a refund. Some exclusions apply (e.g. registered/used vehicles, fitted electrical parts). See Delivery & Returns for the full policy.
Where do I get genuine parts for my Talaria?
From our Parts Shop, which carries 1,000+ genuine spares, batteries, upgrades and accessories. Every part page lists compatible models, and each bike has a "Parts that fit" page so you can shop guaranteed-fit components for your exact model.
How far can a Talaria go on a charge, and how long does it take to charge?
Range depends on the model, rider weight, terrain and ride mode — each model page lists its rated range and battery. Charging times vary by battery and charger; a standard charge is typically a few hours from a domestic socket. Fast chargers are available for some models.
Do you offer Talaria finance or pay-monthly plans?
No — Talaria UK does not offer finance, credit or pay-monthly plans. Orders are paid in full by UK bank transfer or Bitcoin (first-time Bitcoin customers get 10% off their first order). Because we sell direct with no dealer margin, prices stay keen.
Do I need insurance for a Talaria in the UK?
For road use, yes — any road-legal L1e/L3e Talaria used on public roads must be registered with the DVLA, taxed (electric bikes often qualify for a £0 rate) and insured, like any moped or motorcycle. Off-road MX models ridden only on private land don't legally require insurance, though theft/damage cover is still sensible. Road-legal models come with the documentation you need to register and insure.
How fast do Talaria bikes go?
It varies by model. Off-road, the X3 Mini and X3 Pro reach 47 mph, the Sting R up to 55 mph, the Sting Pro up to 60 mph, and the flagship Komodo 65 mph. Road-legal L1e models are restricted to 28 mph and the L3e Komodo to 59 mph. Each model page lists its top speed.
How much is a Talaria, and which is cheapest?
UK prices run from £2,995 for the X3 Mini up to £5,199 for the Komodo (£5,695 for the road-legal Komodo L3E), plus junior bikes from £799. The cheapest adult Talaria is the X3 Mini; the best-value all-rounder is the Sting R at £3,495. Every price is on the model page and our range page.
Who makes Talaria and where are the bikes made?
Talaria is a Chinese electric dirt bike manufacturer that builds its own bikes and competes with Sur-Ron. In the UK they're supplied and supported by Talaria UK (Llexeter Ltd), the official UK distributor based in Devon, with genuine parts, warranty and aftersales handled in-country.
