The Talaria Sting R L1E is the road-legal version of our best-selling Sting R. It carries EEC type approval, so it can be registered, taxed and insured for use on UK roads — and ridden from age 16 on a CBT with L-plates.

Mechanically it’s the same upgraded Sting R platform: the 60 V 45 Ah LG battery pack, hydraulic disc brakes and 50 miles of range. For road compliance the power is managed to an L1E-legal output and the top speed restricted to 28 mph.

What You Need to Ride It

  • A valid CBT certificate (Compulsory Basic Training)
  • Road registration, insurance and an AM/A1 entitlement category
  • L-plates if you’re a learner
